INQUIRY & APPLICATION
The first step for interested families is to complete a brief online application for admission. Our educational team will reach out to applicants to address any immediate questions and arrange an in-person tour of the building.
ACCEPTANCE
The most important factor to qualify an applicant for acceptance is the match between the family’s educational goals for the child and the Montessori philosophy. Qualified applicants are then selected for available spaces within each classroom. When a position is offered, you must secure the position with a non-refundable tuition deposit equal to one half of the published monthly tuition within 3 business days or forfeit the position. If a space is not available, qualified applicants will be placed on the waiting list. Placement priority is given to children of staff members, siblings of current students, and families with a commitment to completing the three-year cycle. You will be notified by phone or e-mail when a space becomes available. Spokane Valley Montessori does not discriminate between applicants on the basis of race, creed, national origin, or disabilities.
ENROLLMENT
If the parents and the educational team decide that enrollment is the right decision for everyone, the online enrollment information will be sent via email. All Infant and Toddler students will be accepted on a conditional basis. Parents or Guardians may be asked to withdraw the student if Spokane Valley Montessori determines, in its sole discretion, that the program is not meeting the student’s needs or that the student’s presence is having an adverse effect on the program.
PLACEMENT
True to the Montessori philosophy, classes are filled with an emphasis on balancing gender and ages. We strongly believe in the strength and integrity of all classrooms. It is the policy of Spokane Valley Montessori not to accept parent requests for specific classroom placements. Placement will be determined by the educational team.
